Mendokoro Tsuruhan KITTE Osaka was born from a wish to make udon a more familiar and more satisfying experience, built around a first dashi drawn carefully from selected niboshi, bonito and kombu.
Although conveniently located directly off the west exit of Osaka Station, the interior is designed as a calm Japanese space. Come for an everyday lunch, before or after a show, or during a break from shopping.
Udon should fill more than the stomach; it should fill the heart. We serve every bowl with the care and hospitality that makes you want to come back.

What Mendokoro Tsuruhan KITTE Osaka values most is the dashi that forms the foundation of our udon.
A first dashi drawn in-house each day from niboshi, bonito and kombu. We coax out a clear, fragrant flavour that lets the natural umami of the ingredients shine.
Even in bowls featuring wagyu, the dashi remains central. We pursue harmony between ingredients to deliver a moment of quiet comfort.
